The DOE is committed to the health and well-being of every child, and continues to provide free, nutritious meals to all students every day. In an effort to inform families about spring school menus, you may refer to the Menus page for updated information on how to learn more about the school food menus and the spring survey link for students and parents to provide feedback on menu options, make suggestions for additions to the menu, and share their dining experience in school cafeterias. Also attached, is the NYCPS Family Newsletter from the Chancellor's office.

We hosted an outstanding Chinese New Year celebration, thanks to Ms. He, Ms. Zhang and Ms. Yip, who welcomed our PS 101 extended family and Cavallaro family members to the event. The auditorium was beautifully decorated, special performances were put on to highlight the many talents of our students, authentic food was shared, and the Lion Dance was performed for our attendees – all to celebrate the Year of the Snake. Thank you to all those who worked so hard to ensure the festivities were special for our students and families. Special thanks to our amazing PTA as well, for the Chinese New Year red envelopes with chocolate coins distributed to all classes and staff.

For Valentines Day, our students have the opportunity to purchase candy grams for $1 from the Student Government Organization, and a plush teddy bear gift bag with candy inside for $5. All of the proceeds will go towards our Spring Events.

Our students had the opportunity last Saturday to showcase their work and talents at the AKC Meet the Breeds event at the Jacob Javits Center. They were chosen as finalists in the contest, and not only did they see their work exhibited, but had the experience of seeing dog breeds from around the world. A special thank you to Ms. Richman and Ms. Demiri, for providing this experience for their students, as well as to our amazingly talented kids! You make me so proud.
